Dr. Shantel Scott is an educator, speaker, your new favorite author, and instructional technology leader who helps people build confidence, voice, and connection through words, communication, and meaningful learning experiences. With a doctorate in Instructional Technology and Distance Education, she creates opportunities that do more than share information. They help people communicate with clarity, courage, and authenticity.

As an English teacher and instructional technologist, Dr. Scott is passionate about helping educators move beyond flat, forgettable instruction and use vocabulary, communication, and innovation as tools for confidence, representation, and identity. Her work lives at the intersection of literacy, empowerment, and voice, with a focus on helping people show up more fully as themselves.

Rooted in the spirit of the #BestSelfie message, Dr. Scott believes every classroom, stage, and learning space can become a place where people discover their voice and learn to use it well. Whether she is teaching students, supporting educators, speaking to audiences, or writing books that encourage growth, her mission is the same: to help people claim their space, elevate their voice, and become more fully who they were created to be.
